Après l’écriture de la comédie « La cloche a sonné », Maud Baignères finalise l’écriture d’un nouveau long métrage : « Stuck in Tarifa ».

Deux anglaises organisent la tournée d’un groupe de visual rock japonais « Psycho Le Cemu » en Andalousie. Le premier concert est catastrophique : le rock japonais et son visuel glamour-trash ne passent pas auprès du public andalou. Les dates de spectacle s’annulent les unes après les autres, les rockers et tout le staff se retrouvent alors coincés à Tarifa, pointe sud de l’Espagne.

Entre Atlantique et Méditerranée, Tarifa est un village paradisiaque authentique et sauvage traversé par des vents qui peuvent parfois rendre fou. Tarifa est aussi la Mecque du kite-surf et de la fête, fréquentée par des nationalités du monde entier. La bande hétéroclite d'abord en perdition et proche de l'implosion va finalement se souder et se dépasser. Babel des langues…Le film est en anglais sous-titré.

Les sujets qu’ affectionnent Maud et qui ont traversé sa vie se bousculent avec un second degré et un humour surréaliste qui lui est propre : la vie en communauté, l’amitié, l’amour, les quiproquos, la musique, la fête déjantée, les différentes cultures - anglaises, japonaises, espagnoles, iraniennes, françaises qui isolent ou fusionnent, les univers du healthy et du rock qui s’entrechoquent.. 

After writing the comedy "La cloche a sonné", Maud Baignères is finalizing the writing of a new feature film: "Stuck in Tarifa". Two English women organize the tour of a Japanese visual rock group "Psycho Le Cemu" in Andalusia. The first concert is catastrophic: Japanese rock and its glamorous-trashy visual do not pass with the Andalusian public. The show dates cancel one after the other, the rockers and all the staff find themselves stranded in Tarifa, southern tip of Spain. Between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, Tarifa is an authentic and wild paradisiacal village crossed by winds which can sometimes make you mad. Tarifa is also the Mecca of kitesurfing and partying, frequented by nationalities from all over the world. The motley band, at first in perdition and close to implosion, will finally merge and surpass itself. Babel of languages… The film is in English with subtitles. The subjects that Maud is fond of and who have lived through her life jostle each other with a second degree and a surrealist humor all of her own: community life, friendship, love, misunderstandings, music, crazy parties, the different cultures - English, Japanese, Spanish, Iranian, French which isolate or merge, the universes of healthy and rock which collide.
